A stove fire was quickly contained by firefighters Sunday afternoon in Aberdeen. Firefighters responded to a structure fire on Ampersand Road behind Food Lion on Highway 5. Upon arrival, firefighters extinguished the blaze which was contained to the stove and the immediate surrounding area. Â Fire crews then used a series of fans to vent the smoke from the residence. Â No reported injuries from the fire as the family was able to immediately evacuate the home. Â Responding to the scene were Aberdeen Fire Department, Pinehurst Fire Department, and Aberdeen Police Department.
