One driver went to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries after a T-bone crash shut down one lane of traffic on U.S. 15-501 in Cameron.
The two-vehicle collision happened just before 6 p.m. when the driver of a Mazda attempted to pull out from the Trax station at the corner of U.S. 15-501 and Bryant Road. According to authorities, the driver of the Mazda failed to yield to a Toyota SUV traveling east towards Sanford.
The Toyota collided with the Mazda in the driver’s side, leaving both cars with moderate damage.

The driver of the Toyota was transported to Moore Regional Hospital. The driver of the Mazda was checked out by EMS but did not require transport.
The southbound lane of U.S. 15-501 was shut down while emergency crews worked the scene.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol was on scene to investigate.
