A crash on Lobelia Road sent three people to the hospital Tuesday evening. Emergency units were dispatched to the single-vehicle accident around 7:30 p.m. near Vicky Lane.
When the first firefighters arrived on the scene that was just past Woodlake, they found a Honda SUV had left the roadway and was down an embankment, wedged between two trees. The vehicle was heavily damaged.
At least two of the patients were pinned in the vehicle. A second rescue was dispatched out of Cypress Pointe Fire Department to assist.
Both female occupants and one male occupant were transported to Moore Regional Hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.
One lane of Lobelia Road was shut down for an extended period of time while crews worked the scene and the vehicle could be removed.
Highway Patrol was on scene investigating the crash.
Responding to the scene were Crains Creek Fire Department, Cypress Pointe Fire Department, Moore County EMS and N.C. State Highway Patrol.
