Moore County firefighters were called to help battle a large fire in Richmond County.
A fire spread through three structures, a field, and vehicles in Hoffman on Sunday afternoon. West End and Pinebluff were among the firefighters who were alerted to the fire near the intersection of Bowen and Bryant streets around noon and were quick to arrive to try and control the blaze.Â
Despite the rapid spread of the flames, which officials told Sandhills Sentinel was due to wind, the nearby house was largely spared. The house sustained only minor damage in the form of melted siding. However, three outbuildings were severely damaged or razed entirely.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
Units arrived from departments across Moore and Richmond counties to assist in the attack due to Hoffman’s shared border with Moore County. All fire crews worked to ensure the fire didn’t spread to nearby machinery, tanks, or other foliage.Â

The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.Â
Multiple fire departments, including departments from Hoffman, Ellerbe, North Side, West End, and Pinebluff, responded to the scene.Â
