Two people were injured Sunday after their vehicle veered off Roseland Road near the Aberdeen-Pinebluff border, overturned, and landed deep in the woods.
The crash happened around 8:50 a.m. near Roseland Road’s intersection with Sandy Branch Lane. The vehicle left the roadway, traveled down a steep embankment, and overturned in dense foliage, finally landing upside down on its roof.
The vehicle came to rest so deep in the underbrush that it was nearly obscured from view on the roadway. However, another driver witnessed the crash and called for help.
Authorities on scene confirmed to Sandhills Sentinel that two occupants were in the car at the time of the wreck. Air care was initially requested, but it was canceled once the second person was freed from the vehicle. Both patients were subsequently taken by EMS to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
