HP Hood LLC is voluntarily recalling 145,254 half-gallon cartons of refrigerated Vanilla Almond Breeze almond milk because the product may contain milk, an allergen not listed on the label.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
Affected product was shipped to North Carolina. Other states included in the recall are AL, AR, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, and WI.
The product is safe to consume unless you have a milk allergy or sensitivity. To date, there has been one report of an allergic reaction. Medical treatment or hospitalization was not required.
The recall applies to the following product: refrigerated Vanilla Almond Breeze almond milk with a use-by date of September 2, 2018. To identify the affected product, consumers should look for the stamped information printed as:
