Moore County deputies arrested an Aberdeen man Friday after a two month fraud investigation.

David Windale Horton, 38, was charged with 17 counts of obtaining money by false pretense, 17 counts of identity theft, one count (F) exploiting a disabled elderly person, 2 counts (F) financial card fraud, said Moore County Sheriff’s Department in a news release.

Horton is accused of stealing money from an 84-year-old individual ‘during the months of June, July, and August through the unauthorized use of a credit card.’

Horton’s bond was set at $75,000.  The suspect has a November 13 court date and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
