Ritter won't run for reelection

Moore County Board of Commissioners has released their February 6th meeting highlights.

~Received presentation/request regarding Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) Certification
assistance and approved allocation of $20,000 to Richmond County government, and the
necessary budget amendment, for the GAP certification program through a contract the County
Attorney approves and authorize the manager to sign.

~ Approved on consent agenda:  minutes, budget amendments, digital learning invoices for
Moore County Schools, local educational bonds 2018 bond referendum capital project
ordinance, advertisement of tax liens on real property, Performance Dodge contract, 2018
Emergency Management Performance grant.

~Called a public hearing on February 20, 2018, at 5:30 pm regarding amendments to the Road
Naming and Addressing Ordinance.

~ Called a public hearing on February 20, 2018, at 5:30 pm regarding text amendments to the
Unified Development Ordinance.

~ Called a public hearing on February 20, 2018, at 5:30 pm regarding a general use rezoning
request.

~ Adopted resolution introducing the Bond Order authorizing $103,000,000 School Bonds,
adopted resolution introducing the Bond Order authorizing $20,000,000 Community College
Bonds, directed the Chief Finance Officer to file the Sworn Statement of Debt, Statement of
Estimated Interest with the Clerk to the Board, called a public hearing on the two bond orders
for February 20, 2018 at 5:30 pm, and directed the Clerk to the Board to publish notice of the
public hearing and bond orders as introduced.

~ Reappointed Shirlyn Morrison‐Sims to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council.

~ Reappointed Larry Caddell, Michael Gatti, and Travis Greene to the Parks and Recreation
Advisory Board.

~ Appointed Josh Brooks to the Local Emergency Planning Committee.
