The Town of Carthage announced on its Facebook page Tuesday it will be restriping downtown parking areas around the courthouse circle.
Work will take place in the evenings to alleviate as much inconvenience as possible.
The previously angled spaces that ran along Monroe Street across from the courthouse have now been converted to parallel spaces. This was done to help alleviate traffic congestion and make it safer for drivers to pull in and out of the area.
All other spaces will be redrawn according to the lines that are already on the ground.
