Fort Bragg soldiers recently completed a prestigious training program, announced Lt. Col. Mike Burns, public affairs officer Wednesday.
On May 31, 82nd Airborne Division Paratroopers completed Expert Infantry and the Expert Soldier Badge training.
Burns said over 2,000 paratroopers tested for both badges.
“The Expert Infantry Badge is awarded to infantry soldiers who demonstrate mastery of basic tactics, weapons systems and equipment relevant to their profession,” said Burns. “The Expert Soldier Badge, approved by the U.S. Army last year, tests soldiers of any military occupational specialty to prove their expertise in basic soldiering skills.”
