On Monday, at approximately 2:10 p.m., Moore County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a dog attack at a residence on Edward Road in Star. Upon arrival, deputies reportedly found an adult female who had sustained multiple injuries from an apparent attack by several dogs, said the Moore County Sheriff’s Office in a press release.
“Moore County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services responded to the scene and took custody of three dogs involved in the incident,” stated the release. “The female was transported by medical helicopter with non-life-threatening injuries for further evaluation and treatment.”
The Moore County Sheriff’s Office and Animal Services continue to investigate the circumstances of the attack.
