Bernice Elwood (Bob) Lewis, age 74, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, surrounded by his closest family.
Bob was in the electrical field most of his adult life, as an electrician and electrical contractor, culminating with being the owner and operator of Lewis Lighting Service of Fayetteville. NC
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and Beulah Lewis, a brother, David Lewis, sister, Darlene Sanders, and a sister In-Law Thela Lewis.
He is survived by his sister, Marilyn Deskins (husband Tom) of Cameron, NC., brother, Calvin Lewis (wife Pat) of Maiden, NC, and brother, Terry Lewis of Maiden, NC; children, Timothy Lewis (wife Jessica) of Sanford, NC, Christopher Lewis of Fayetteville, NC, Brandi Lewis, Sandi Lewis, of Holden Beach, NC, and Randi Richards, (husband Marcus) of Whiteville, NC.; several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Private Memorial will be held later in Lumberton, NC.
Bob dearly loved his family, loved going to the beach, and fishing. His smile and humor will be greatly missed by his family and all fortunate enough to have known him. Rest In Peace “Sweet Old Bob”!
