Jacqueline Burns Seawell, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Funeral service will be 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Putnam Friends Church with the Reverend Robert Kidd and Reverend Billy Joe Brady officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Jackie was a native of Moore County. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She loved the Lord and was active in her church, teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible school, working in the nursery and the annual Easter Egg hunt.  Flower gardening and spending time with her family were very important to her. She enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for all the family. Jackie also enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, traveling and shopping.  She also read through the Bible on a yearly basis. She was a daughter of the late Melvin Arthur and Nora Lee Maness Burns and was preceded in death by son: Vincent; great grandson; Wyatt; brothers: Billy Burns, Lloyd Burns; sister: Hilda Purvis.

Jackie is survived by her husband of 62 years Floyd; daughters: Pasty Garner and husband Mike, Verna Morrison and husband Glenn, Wanda Bray and husband Tony;  grandchildren: Trudy Spivey and husband Ronnie, Jeremy Seawell, Tabitha Nicodemus and husband Daniel, Emily Lineberry and husband Justin, Amber Gillespie and husband Josh, Justin Horner and wife Keller, Daniela Brown and husband Brandon, Brandi Hussey, Crystal Horner; 12  great grandchildren: sister: Brenda Hussey and husband Johnny; sisters in law: Judy Burns, Aileen Burns; many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
