Robert “Wayne” Mims, Sr., age 74, of Aberdeen, passed away at his home on Friday, March 7, 2025.
Wayne was born in Fort Benning, Georgia on April 30, 1950 to the late John Leroy Sr. and Juanita Talley Mims. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty LeRue Brown Mims; daughter, Wendy Sue Mims Clevenger; brothers, Thomas Lee Mims, John Leroy Mims Jr., James Larry Mims and Edward Allen Mims.
He is survived by his son, Robert Wayne Mims, Jr. (Felisha) of Aberdeen; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Mims Mutchler and her Fiancé, John Davis of Garner; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
