Sandra Jean Van Pelt, age 71, of Carthage, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst, surrounded by her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Brown officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Sandra was born in Illinois on April 7, 1951 to the late Paul Van Pelt and Margaret Redden Brewster. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.
An avid WWE fan for many years also enjoyed writing her many pen pals all over the world. She very much enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren and working on crafts.
She is survived by her daughters, Lori Rothermund (Logan) of Virginia, Donna Miller (Dennis) of Denton; sisters, Doris Drossart of Idaho and Marilyn Baxley (James) of Raeford; brother, Patton Brewster (Donna) of Eagle Springs; grandchildren, Jeremy, Zebulan, Ira, Eli, Margaret, Benjamin, Lily and Ian; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Malorie, Oliver, Madison and Levi.
