The Robbins Police Department conducted a traffic safety event on Tuesday.
Chief Lawson Thomas said the event was “aimed at making the roadways and neighborhoods safer for the citizens of Robbins and surrounding area.”
The places the police patrolled were areas citizens said violations were occurring.
The event resulted in 27 citations being issued for a total of 34 charges including 15 no operators license, nine driving while license revoked, one open container of an alcoholic beverage, seven registration violations, one second-degree trespassing and one no motor vehicle insurance.
“The Robbins Police Department will continue to strive to maintain safe roadways and neighborhoods for the citizens and visitors of Robbins, through proactive enforcement,” said Thomas. “If you see something, say something.”
