SPPD invites citizens to comment on CALEA public portal

The Southern Pines Police Department is an Advanced Law Enforcement Accredited agency through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), which includes a continuous process of development and improvement. The goal of this process is to maintain best practices in law enforcement and provide the highest-quality services to our community, the Southern Pines Police Department said in a news release.

As part of this process, CALEA maintains a public access portal. Access to the portal is provided as an opportunity to submit comments, commendations, and other information regarding the agency’s quality of service or other matters relevant to the accreditation process.

If you would like more information on the accreditation process, or you would like to provide feedback on one of the above-mentioned topics, you can access the public portal through the Southern Pines Police Department website at https://www.southernpines.net/134/Police. The link to the portal can be found in the CALEA Advanced Accreditation section.
