Two people are facing several drug charges after a traffic stop on Feb. 8, according to Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields.
The vehicle Rebecca Durrance and Robert Smith were traveling in was pulled over by Moore County deputies and Aberdeen Police on Highway 5 in Aberdeen.
“During the traffic stop, Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle,” said Fields. “As a result of the search, Deputies located heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, and items of drug paraphernalia.”
Durrance, 36, of West End, was charged with trafficking in opium or heroin by possession, trafficking in opium or heroin by transport, possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, possession of heroin, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. She was placed under a $150,000 bond.
Smith, 38, of Pinebluff, was charged with trafficking in opium or heroin by possession, trafficking in opium or heroin by transport, possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, possession of heroin, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. He was given a $200,000 bond.
Both suspects are due in court on Feb. 10 and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
