Two jailed on 17 charges after drug investigation

Two people from Robbins were arrested after a drug investigation on Dec. 1.

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields said in a news advisory that 29-year-old Tyisha Shepherd and 30-year-old Alan Morales were arrested after a search warrant was presented at a home in the 200 block of East Salisbury Street in Robbins. Robbins Police Department assisted the Sheriff’s Department in the search.

“During the search, Deputies located methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, oxycodone, marijuana, THC wax, (2) firearms, items of drug paraphernalia, and $2,496.26 in currency,” said Fields.

Both suspects were charged with traffick in methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, possession of heroin, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule I controlled substance, felony possession of schedule I controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of schedule VI controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, simple possession of schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and possession of stolen firearm.

Shepherd and Morales were placed at the Moore County Detention Center in Carthage and given $175,000 secured bonds.

They are due in court next week and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
