A woman and her dog escaped injury after her vehicle overturned on Plank Road near Robbins shortly before 5 p.m. Friday.
Authorities on the scene told the Sandhills Sentinel that the Subaru was traveling northwest when it lost control, rolled over, and landed upside down in the ditch on the opposite side of the road.
First responders noted that the presence of a dog in the vehicle may have been a contributing factor.
The single female occupant was unharmed, as was her pet.
Crews worked to divert traffic around the crash and remove the vehicle, which sustained heavy damage after overturning. One lane of Plank Road was closed while emergency crews cleared the scene.
Robbins Fire Department, Moore County EMS, the Moore County Sheriff’s Office, and the N.C. Highway Patrol responded to the incident.
