Man arrested breaking into Seven Lakes home

Authorities arrested a local man Sunday for breaking into a home and stealing property, said Moore County Sheriff’s Office in a news release.

Sheriff Ronnie Fields said William Robinson Jr, 27, of Eagle Springs, was charged with breaking and entering, felony larceny, and possession of stolen goods.

The house that was broken into is in Seven Lakes West. The alleged crime took place on July 17.

“After investigation and with the assistance of the Pinehurst and Southern Pines Police Departments, Detectives conducted a search of the suspect’s residence on August 10, 2020,” said Fields. “During the search, Detectives were able to recover several items that were stolen from the victim’s residence.”

The suspect was placed under a $10,000 secured bond at the detention center. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
