Anna “Sue” (Wiseman) Butler, age 92, of Sanford, went to her heavenly home on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Westfield Health & Rehab in Sanford.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 11:00 am at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robbie Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. A private burial will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Alamance Memorial Gardens in Burlington, NC.
Sue was born in West Virginia on January 10, 1931 to the late Virgil Leland Wiseman and Ethel Honaker Wiseman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Ann Butler, son, Randall Leland Butler, brothers, Jack and James Wiseman, sister, Carolyn Bailey.
Sue was a faithful member of East Sanford Baptist Church. She loved attending her church and fellowshipping with her church family. Sue especially enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping at Hamrick’s. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Franklin D. Butler, granddaughter Tiffany Ann Butler of Sanford, two nieces, Kimberly Parker of Virginia, Tabatha Brownschide of Virginia, nephew, William Bailey also of Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East Sanford Baptist Church.
The family has entrusted services to Cox Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Vass.
