Austin Mac Houston, 20, of Vass, passed on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Austin was born June 3, 1999 in Cumberland County to James Leroy Houston and Corina Lee Swist Houston. He attended and graduated from Union Pines High School in 2018. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved riding dirt bikes. He was a true outdoorsman. He always wore a smile putting everyone else first in life. If he called you a friend you were more than that to him, you were his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 2008, Corina Houston.
Mr. Houston is survived by his father, James Leroy Houston of Vass; a sister, Ashley Porrazzo (Sami) of Raleigh, NC; two brothers, Thomas Houston of Cameron, NC; and Shawn Attkisson (Lejla) of Fort Collins, CO; his grandparents, Thomas and Leona Swist of Lillington, NC; one aunt, Susie Boves (Wil) of Miami, FL; one uncle, George Houston (Shelly) of Ashland, KY; a great uncle, Richard Baron (Anne) of Westerly, RI; cousins, Amanda, Matthew, Holly, Danny, and Jamie
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
