Charles Blandford Burch, 83, of Pinehurst, NC passed away December 14, 2020 at his home.
Charles was born March 21, 1937 in Richmond, VA to the late Grayson and Mary Nelson Burch.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Linda Burch in September 2020.
He proudly served his country in the US Air Force and later graduated from Virginia Tech. He worked as a biochemist for several years and then as a hydroelectrical engineer for American Electric Power (AEP). He loved to travel and spend time at the beach.
He is survived by his children Thomas Burch (Tracy), Greg Hendel, and Julie Ownbey (Travis); grandchildren Connor, Colton, Ashley, Grant, Nathan; siblings, Nancy Brassington, Judith Geddy, Maurice Bowen Jr., Susan Bowen, Sally Johnson, Stan Burch and Mark Burch. He is also survived by his faithful canine companion “Frankie” his beloved Scottish Terrier.
