Donald C. MacDonald, 77, of Southern Pines, passed peacefully at his home on Sunday, Feb. 2nd.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Boles Funeral Home, 425 W. Pennsylvania Ave., Southern Pines, Saturday, Feb 15th from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Born Oct. 18th, 1942, he was the son of the late Donald C. MacDonald and Lula Odell Samples. Don was a life – long resident of Moore county and had worked for Pinebluff Products until their closing. He then went on to work at Sacred Heart Church until his retirement in the mid 2010’s.
Donald was the husband of the late Theresa Sawyer MacDonald. He was the father of Donna Jean, John Allen, Keith, Shayne, and Amy MacDonald all of Moore county and Darrell MacDonald of Wilmington. He was the brother of Charlotte, Brenda, Richard and Wanda. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Don is preceded in death by his brothers: Norwood, Charles and Ronnie.
