Erica Batten of Taylortown passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021, in FirstHealth Moore Regional at the age of 39.
Erica was born on March 24, 1982, in Pinehurst to the late Joseph Quinton and Christine Anne Ruckert Batten. After graduating from Pinecrest High School, Erica began a career in landscaping. Erica enjoyed going to the beach and especially swimming on those hot summer days. She was a lover of music and a lover of fun. She lived her life like it was a party, and she was the guest of honor. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, William and Sandra Ruckert; her paternal grandfather, Verdon Batten; and her fiancé, Russell Harrington
She is survived by her daughters, Madilyne and Chloe Harrington; sister, Beth Gabriel (Darrion); her nephew, Evan Gabriel; her niece, Lillian Gabriel; her grandmother Marie Batten; her uncle, Rodney Batten (Nancy); her aunts, Kimberly Ruckert (William Belton), Connie Ruckert, Kathy Russel (Steve), Karen McDonald (Chris); big cousin, Shannon McDonald, and 9 younger cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Care of the family is entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home-Aberdeen.
