Mr. Fred C. Walden, 81, of Southern Pines, NC, died Sunday, September 16, 2018, at the FirstHealth Hospice House, in Pinehurst, NC.
Funeral Service: Sunday, September 23, 2:00 PM, Southern Pines Primary School Auditorium, 1250 West New York Avenue, Southern Pines. No public viewing will be held.
Burial: Mt. Hope Cemetery, 405 West Morganton Road, Southern Pines.
Mr. Walden served in the United States Army, and he was a Southern Pines Town Councilman for many years.
Survivors: Wife of 53 years, Christine Walden; children, Michele Carr(Edward), and Anita and Matthew Walden; brothers, Philip and Robert Walden,Jr.; two grandchildren, Katelyn and Samantha Carr; and other relatives.
