Jean Alice Janzon Erbling, age 94, passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
Jean was born in Sweden on October 15, 1929 to the late John and Marta Janzon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph H. Erbling; sons, Paul Erbling, sister, Betty Lou Greiner and brother, John Richard Janzon.
She is survived by her sons, Dan Erbling (Jodi) of Washington State and Mark Erbling of Maryland; grandchildren, Heather Osborn, Andrew Erbling, Alice and Karin; great-grandchildren, Kiley Osborn, Eden Osborn and Johnathon Osborn; daughter-in-law, Teresa Bunnell; her loving fur baby, Gus and many relatives still living in Sweden as well as cousins, nieces and nephews in the USA.
Jean came to the United States with her parents and siblings in May of 1940. She was a member and past Queen of Daughters of the Nile – Olana Temple 131 as well as a member of Eastern Star, Vasa Swedish Club of Tuscon, Viking Club of Tinley Park, IL, Ladies Oriental Shrine, Bunco Squad and a charter member of the Swedish American Museum of Chicago.
