On Oct. 10, detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 800 block of South Mechanic Street in Southern Pines.
During the search, detectives seized suspected cocaine, marijuana, oxycodone, hydrocodone, various drug paraphernalia, and $461, said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a press release.
Caramella Ross, 43, of Southern Pines, was arrested on charges of trafficking in cocaine by possession, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, simple possession of schedule II controlled substances, simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ross received a $30,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Moore County district court on Oct. 23.
Naji Jackson, 23, of Southern Pines, was arrested on charges of simple possession of schedule VI-controlled substance and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Jackson was placed on a 48-hour hold pursuant to HB813, which went into effect in 2023. His court date is also set for Oct. 23.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
