Traffic in Aberdeen was delayed Monday afternoon for a short period due to a traffic accident. The three-vehicle accident occurred around 4 p.m. on North Sandhills Boulevard at the intersection of Highway 15-501 in front of CVS Pharmacy.

Emergency units were dispatched and quickly arrived on scene to find a Honda CR-V on its side, and a Dodge Charger with heavy front end damage partially blocking the northbound lane. The Honda ended up stopping against the front of a Ford Fusion passenger car that was waiting at the traffic light.

There were no injuries, and EMS was canceled at the time of this report.

One northbound lane of North Sandhills Boulevard was closed for a brief period while Aberdeen Police investigated the accident and the roadway was cleared.

Rockwell Towing removed the vehicles from the scene.

Responding to the scene were Aberdeen Fire Department, Aberdeen Police Department and Rockwell Towing.
