Two teens accused of breaking into NC Smoke N Vape shop

The Aberdeen Police Department said two teenagers are accused of breaking into the NC Smoke N Vape shop located in Pinehurst Plaza on Highway 5.

In a news advisory, the department said the business was broken into just after midnight on Aug. 11. Police were alerted by the smoke shop’s alarm system.

Police said one suspect, Leevester Ingram, 18, of Rockingham, was located near the crime scene and was arrested on a charge of breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering. On the same night, he was placed at the Moore County Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond.

Aberdeen Police identified the second suspect as a juvenile. The minor was arrested through the Juvenile Justice Center on Oct. 6 and charged with breaking and entering. The police department did not release the suspect’s identity or hometown due to age.

Both defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
