At the March Council meeting, the Council approved an amendment to Chapter A of the Code of Ordinances, which changed the procedures for committee or board vacancies and member appointments/reappointments.
In conjunction with the change in procedures, the Village Volunteer Application has also been updated. Anyone wishing to apply to be considered for appointment to one of the Village Committees/Boards must complete a new volunteer application (even if you have recently submitted one).
The new volunteer application is available on the Village website under Board and Committee Vacancies and at Village Hall. The deadline for submitting completed application to the Village Clerk is April 15.
Current vacancies include:
Planning and Zoning Board – Three Village resident positions (all three-year terms)
Two Village alternate positions (one 3-year term and one 2-year term)
Lakes and Watershed Board – (Applicants must live in the vicinity of the lake they are applying for)
Blue Lake Representative
Cardinal Lake Representative
Thagard Lake Representative
Tree Board – One Village resident position
One Village alternate position
