CPR performed on man after ATV crash

UPDATE: The man passed away.


A 21-year-old man is in critical condition after crashing his 4-wheeler ATV on Roseland Road near Fellowship Way on Sunday afternoon. Emergency crews performed CPR on the patient beside the roadway for an extended time and continued lifesaving efforts en route to the hospital.

According to law enforcement, the man ran off the right-hand side of Roseland Road and into a ditch. The 4-wheeler continued down the ditch and slammed into a tree just off the roadway. The rider was unconscious and not breathing when emergency crews arrived, and first responders immediately began to perform lifesaving efforts. His condition is unknown at this time,

The crash occurred a short distance down the road from his home, and family and friends were present as crews worked to save his life.

Moore County Sheriff’s deputies were on the scene and are investigating the crash.

Responding units included Pinebluff Fire and Rescue, Aberdeen Fire and Rescue, Moore County EMS, Moore County Sheriff’s Department, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
