The Southern Pines Police Department announced the arrest of Robert Chisholm, 58, of Robbins, for two counts of larceny and possession of stolen goods.
On August 10, Chisholm removed $750 worth of property from ACE Hardware in Whispering Pines. On August 19, Chisholm returned to ACE Hardware and removed without payment an additional $695.96 worth of assorted property.
Chisholm, after arrest, appeared before a Moore County Magistrate and was remanded to the Moore County Detention Center under a $1,000 secured bond pending a hearing in Moore County Court.
