Obituary for Judy Ann Lowe Williamson of Carthage

With love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, Judy Ann Lowe Williamson, 76, of Carthage, North Carolina, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, took the hand of Jesus on January 14, 2025 at Autumn Care in Biscoe, NC.  Judy was diagnosed with MDS less than a year ago and fought a hard battle.  She was born to the late William Henry and Edith Lowe on March 30, 1948 in Ft. Bragg, NC.

Judy lived a life filled with love that touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.  Judy is survived by; her loving husband of 58 years Donald, daughter Donna (Michael), mother Edith Lowe, brother William Gary Lowe, granddaughter Lauren (Catlan), grandson Aaron (Morgan), great granddaughters Hannah, Peyton and Elena.  And we can’t forget her cat Kitty, grandcat Oliver and granddog Doc!  She loved animals as much as she loved people.

Family was everything to Judy.  She found immense joy in spending time with loved ones—especially cooking for them.  If she knew you were visiting her, she always had your favorite food ready for you.  She loved cooking, sewing and watching her favorite soaps (calling her during The Bold and Beautiful was useless unless, of course, you were a grandchild)!

Judy worked many years at and retired from Pinehurst Medical Clinic.  She was one of the voices that always greeted you with a smile when you called.

Judy’s warmth radiated from within her home into the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.  Her love for each of us will always be a treasure as there was nothing she would not try to do for us.  We mourn the loss of such a remarkable woman who brought so much light into our lives through simple acts of love. Her death has left a huge emptiness in our lives. Her influence and love will always be in our hearts. Words cannot convey how much she will be missed by all.

Judy now resides in Heaven!  Hallelujah and Amen!

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 3:30pm at Faith Baptist Church in West End with Dr. Chad Nall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the burial.

The family would like to thank: the staff at First Health Cancer Center in Pinehurst, the ER staff and Dr.’s and nurses at First Health in Troy and Pinehurst for their amazing and compassionate care during Judy’s illness over the past year.  The EMS and First Health Ambulance crews, the Carthage Fire Department for always being there within minutes to help us.   We could not have navigated this journey without you!

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for the outstanding and compassionate care mom received from the entire staff at Autumn Care of Biscoe.  Over this past year, you all have become family to us and mom loved each and every one of you so very much!
