Robert Glenn “Bobby” Chatfield, 71, of Carthage, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024, in his home surrounded by his family.
Left to cherish Bobby’s memory are his wife, Sherry and son Mason, both of the home. Bobby is survived by his brother Billy (Laurie) of Florida and sister Susan Batts (Tom) of Aberdeen.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Wink and Frances Chatfield of Southern Pines.
Bobby was a hard worker and owned and operated his masonry business for over 40 years. He enjoyed racing, hunting, fishing, working in his shop and spending time with all his animals. He always looked forward to the annual Smith family beach trip with his in-laws. He will be missed by many of his lifelong friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 3:00 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 4:00 pm at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church, 4460 Lobelia Rd, Vass NC 28394.
The family would like to give a special thanks to a dear friend and caregiver, Tonya, and the staff of First Health Hospice with a special thanks to Lawanda and Paula.
