A chain-reaction crash involving three vehicles occurred Tuesday afternoon at the 76 Gas Station on McReynolds Street just outside Carthage.
First responders were dispatched to the scene around 4 p.m. and found one vehicle in the roadway, having been struck by a semi truck.
According to information from the scene, a worker preparing to wash a Ford F-150 allegedly pressed the wrong pedal, causing the truck to surge forward into the rear of a Toyota Camry.
The impact pushed the Camry onto McReynolds Street and into the path of an oncoming semi-truck, which then struck the vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
The Camry sustained extensive front-end damage as a result of the strike.
