A 35-year-old man turned himself in on Tuesday in connection to a theft at Pinecrest High School, said Moore County Schools Police in a news advisory on Wednesday.
“Moore County Schools (MCS) Police would like to thank the community members who assisted in identifying the suspect that was pictured in the February 2, 2022 press release,” said MCS Police. “As a result, warrants were issued for the suspect.”
Surveillance photos from a security camera at Pinecrest High School helped community members to identify the suspect.
According to the police, Rodney Wilson, of High Point, was charged with a felony for breaking and entering, and larceny.
Police say he stole athletic equipment on Jan. 27 at the field house at the school.
Wilson’s bond was set at $10,000. He has a Feb. 24 court date and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
