James Rowland Aaron, II of Southern Pines, NC passed away on March 29, 2018, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC. 

He was born on April 22, 1930, in Norristown, PA, and was the only son of James R. Aaron, Sr., and Helen (Keepart) Aaron. 

He was an alumni of Manasquan, NJ, schools and honorably discharged from the military in 1957.

James was married to Virginia B. Aaron for 50 years. They had two sons, Douglas Scott and Steven Todd.

He is survived by his wife, Luan Kaltenbach Aaron, sons D. Scott (Kim) and Steven; Grandchildren, Kyle, Garrett, and Kenton.

Mr. Aaron was president of Arnoa, Inc., a casualty insurance engineering firm. He retired to Pinehurst, NC in 1986. He was a member of the Village Chapel, most active with Meals on Wheels of the Sandhills for 18 years, FirstHealth Hospice, Food bank and a Coalition volunteer.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the Belle Meade Chapel, with Rev. John Jacobs officiating, with a reception to follow.
