Marie Rorie Bailey, 78, of Southern Pines, passed peacefully at the Seven Lakes Memory Care on Sunday, Feb. 23rd.
A lifelong resident of Moore County, Marie was the daughter of the late Floyd and Eunice Thompson Rorie. She and her husband ran the Modern Market on Broad St. in Southern Pines in the 1960’s. Marie later worked and retired with Food Lion.
Marie was the wife of the late Neil Bailey. She was the sister of Joe Rorie of Southern Pines and Jean McNeill, husband Ronald Lewis McNeill, of Aberdeen, and the late F. Lee Rorie.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Boles Funeral Home, 425 W. Pennsylvania Ave. Southern Pines, Thursday, Feb 27th at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the service, starting at 1:00 p.m.
