Mary Lou Bertram was born December 23, 1931, in Elm Grove, WV, and died on Saturday, October 7, 2023, in Pinehurst, NC.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 PM Saturday, October 28, 2023, at The Village Chapel.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life George. She is survived by her sons Thomas Bertram and wife, Rita, of Alexandria, VA and Timothy Bertram and wife, Rina, of Houston, TX; grandchildren Sara, Alexander, and Catherine. She also is survived by her sister-in-law, Carol Weisner, and brother-in-law, David (Linda) Bertram. She was predeceased by brothers Jerry Holmes and Donald Holmes. Mary Lou treasured her many friends and she will be missed.
Mary Lou and George lived in Oxon Hill, MD. After she retired from the Naval Research Lab, they moved to Pinehurst.
