Search warrant on Eagle Springs home leads to discovery of drugs

A 42-year-old man from Eagle Springs is facing drug charges after detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Department searched a home.

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields reported that detectives executed a search warrant on Wednesday at a residence in the 1400 block of Highway 211 in Eagle Springs.

Officials seized suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, suboxone, and drug paraphernalia.

Clifton Copeland was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for controlled substance, possession of schedule III controlled substance, possession of schedule VI controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The suspect was placed at the Moore County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond. He is due in court on July 10 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
