Three from Aberdeen arrested after SP shooting

Three more people have been arrested after a shooting in Southern Pines on Sunday afternoon. A juvenile was shot at Brookside Park Apartments just before 4:30 p.m.

“Upon arrival members of the Patrol Division were informed that several male subjects had been shooting at each other, but left in a silver or gray in color Chrysler 300 prior to officer’s arrival,” announced Southern Pines Police Department in a statement to Sandhills Sentinel on Monday morning. “While on scene, the department was notified that a seventeen (17) year old victim had been taken to First Health by private vehicle. The victim, who sustained a nonlife threatening injury, was treated and released from the hospital.”

On Wednesday, Southern Pines Police announced that Kreysean Darby, 19, Jaylyn Darby, 18, and Tymier Hogan, 18, all from Aberdeen, were arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, going armed to the terror of the public and discharging a firearm in the city limits.

Warrants were issued on Monday for Marlon Harris, 19, of Aberdeen, for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, going armed to the terror of the public and discharging a firearm in the city limits. He was apprehended a short time later.
