Two hospitalized after Pinebluff crash

A single-vehicle crash on the outskirts of Pinebluff sent two people to the hospital on Thursday, May 12. Though the scene made for a grisly sight, only two of the four occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries.

Emergency units were dispatched around 9 p.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle overturned along Addor Road. According to officials on the scene, the driver came around the bend too quickly, lost control of the vehicle, slid, rolled, and overturned onto its roof in the embankment along the road.

Of the four occupants in the vehicle, two were transported to the hospital via EMS with non-life-threatening injuries, and both were in stable condition. The vehicle, a Toyota Sequoia, sustained heavy damage from the impact of the crash and had to be dragged from the tree line by a tow truck.

Traffic on Addor Road was stopped in both directions for over an hour while authorities worked to investigate and clear the site of the wreck. Despite the on-and-off rain throughout the day, weather was not believed to have been a factor at the time of the crash.

Moore County EMS, the Pinebluff Fire Department, and N.C. State Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
