West End man arrested in child sex crime case

A West End man was jailed under a $550,000 secured bond after being arrested in a child sex crime case. 

The Moore County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation on April 29 after receiving information from a resident in the West End area regarding the sexual exploitation of a minor, said Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a press release on May 8.

Fields said during the course of the investigation and subsequent forensic examinations, forensic specialists arrested Sebastian Buck, 18, of West End.

Buck has been charged with 11 counts of felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and 11 counts of felony third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. 

The offense date of the 22 charges is listed as April 29.

The suspect is scheduled to appear in Moore County district court on May 27.

The Moore County Sheriff’s Office is an active participant in the North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Fields added.
