The Aberdeen Police Department announced the arrest of Chaquwann Stubbs, 33, of Aberdeen.
In early 2026, investigators with the Aberdeen Police Department began investigating the possible sale of illegal narcotics within the city limits. Throughout the course of the investigation, Stubbs was identified as a suspect, announced the Aberdeen Police Department in a press release.
On May 7, the Aberdeen Special Response Team, along with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office, Moore County Probation, and Aberdeen investigators, served a search warrant at Stubbs’ residence in Aberdeen. At the time the search warrant was executed, Stubbs was also wanted on outstanding felony charges, according to the Aberdeen Police Department.
During the investigation, evidence was obtained that led investigators to secure warrants charging Stubbs with felony possession with Intent to sell/deliver a Schedule I controlled substance, felony possession with intent to sell/deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, and felony possession with intent to sell/deliver a Schedule VI controlled substance.
Stubbs was arrested on May 7 and taken before a Moore County magistrate, where he was given a $35,000 secured bond.
All charges are allegations, and Stubbs is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
