Moore County Detention Officers completed the Big Muddy Challenge on September 2nd.
The Big Muddy Challenge is a course that consists of 2.5 miles of 12 obstacles for active athletes who like to get down and dirty.
That’s exactly what SGT Schlumpf, Master Control Operator Spears, Detention Officers Osmar and Frye, and CPT Flint did. They didn’t seem to mind getting dirty on an overcast day.
Back in July, Detention Officers participated in the Spartan Super Race in Asheville as well. They called themselves, “Team Locked Up”, and they completed the course that consisted of 8.2 miles of obstacles over a 2000′ elevation grade. The team ran up hills, through creeks, rivers, and helped each other climb obstacles in a display of character building teamwork.
