Foxfire Police Chief retires

Foxfire Village Police Chief Chad Shue retired on Feb. 1.

The announcement was made on the Village’s website.

Shue joined Foxfire as a patrol officer in 2007 and was promoted to chief of police in 2015, serving for nine years.

“The Village Council and residents of Foxfire Village appreciate his competence and loyal service to the Village throughout his 16+ years of service,” said the Village. “We wish him the very best in his retirement and future endeavors.”

A retirement celebration will be announced at a later date.

“Lieutenant Garner has assumed the role of acting supervisor of all police department staff,” said the Village.
