Jeep flips near Pinehurst

The driver of a Jeep Wrangler escaped injuries in a crash that caused the vehicle to flip onto its side on Highway 15-501 at Juniper Lake Road just outside of Pinehurst on Friday afternoon.

N.C. Highway Patrol tells Sandhills Sentinel the Wrangler was traveling southbound on 15-501 when the driver of a gray Saturn pulled out in front of the Wrangler while attempting a left-hand turn onto 15-501 northbound from Juniper Lake Road. The driver of the Jeep tried to avoid the collision but struck the Saturn and lost control, going down an embankment and flipping onto its driver’s side.
