Gary William Bowman, age 74, of Sanford, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Jonesboro Cemetery in Sanford.
Gary was born in Sanford, North Carolina, to the late Henry Battle Bowman and Mary Elizabeth Jackson Bowman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Gary Richard Bowman, and his sister, Cathy Bowman Williams.
He is survived by his brother, Donald Ray Bowman (Carolyn) of Sanford; daughter, Jennifer B. Godfrey (Eddie); two grandchildren, Joshua Godfrey (Brooke), Ashley Godfrey, and three great-grandchildren, Zoey, Riley, and Maisley; niece, Kelly Bowman; nephew, Marcus William (Kayla).
